Welcome to the CYB/CYS Website!

Cheshire Youth Baseball and Softball is a non-profit organization whose sole mission is to provide organized, instructional, recreational and competitive baseball and softball programs to Cheshire's youth. It is run entirely by volunteers at the Board of Directors, team manager and coaching levels. League players range from age  4 (T-Ball) through age 19 (American Legion).

The CYB/CYS Board of Directors wish our players and parents every success both on and off the field. We pledge our support as you enter into what we hope is a positive experience; for it is ultimately you, the managers, coaches and parents who will make our program successful and beneficial to Cheshire's youth and Cheshire's future.

Calendar of Events

Team-specific tryouts for the Cheshire Reds spring 2023 season will be posted to this CYB landing page when details are available, likely in the second half of August.  Tryouts will take place in the fall.

CYB - VP Reds

There will be only ONE tryout held for the spring 2023 Reds 13U team to be held on Sunday, 8/21, from 9am - 12 noon. If you're unable to attend this tryout, you can contact the manager, Vito Catalanotto, to arrange a private tryout.

To be eligible to play, a player’s birth date must be between 5/1/2009 and 4/30/2010.

Interested players should bring his or her baseball glove and wear appropriate baseball clothing including long pants and protective equipment appropriate for gender.  If you have a bat and helmet, please bring those, too, but bats and helmets will be available for use.  

Parents of players selected for the spring roster will need to register their child and pay a $200 non-refundable commitment fee by 9/30/2022 via the CYB website to hold the roster spot.
